DYNAMITE VINTAGE WHITING & DAVIS MESH PURSE--MARCASITE & ENAMELED FRAME! 

WONDERFUL 1920s vintage W&D Deco Dresden mesh bag with FAB enameled frame embedded with sparkly marcasites!  SOFT flower basket design and bright colors adorn this beauty. SUPER shape.  Measures  a  BIG 5"x 8"--no fading, holes  or tears.  Minor wear overall--all enamel, marcasites, fringe and mesh intact. 

W& D's  Dresden or soldered mesh bags were among the most expensive bags made at that time--the larger bags like this could run from $28.-$42. and more in the 1920s-30s--an exorbitant sum then, especially during the Depression.  Only a lucky--and wealthy--flapper could afford these beauties!

BOLD & BEAUTIFUL PERSIAN CARPET BEADED PURSE--JEWELED FRAME & FAB FRINGE!

 

 

 BOLD & BEAUTIFUL, this INCREDIBLE antique purse features an intricate Persian carpet design

 beaded bag made up of tiny micro (seed) beads in soft colors of dusty rose, mauve, teal, mint green, gold and red--all in MINTY condition--topped off with a brass jeweled frame.  Interior is newly-lined with maroon satin and trim.  FAB fringe adds the finishing touch. NO holes, wear or tears, all beads appear intact--measures over a FOOT long with fringe and approx. 10 inches at widest point. Heavy jeweled frame is approx. 8" across; one chip on stone in the top right corner is hard to see and doesn't detract from this stunner.

This Victorian micro-beaded purse boasts a romantic outdoor scene under a towering tree with a colorful jeweled frame. A handsome gent seems smitten with this fair maiden as he courts her on bended knee--perhaps he's proposing?  

 

 This scenic beauty measures approx. 10 3/4 inches long--the fringe alone is 2.5 inches! The frame is 6" wide  at top, and the bag is 6 3/4" at widest point. NO holes or tears (minor age wear), this vintage beaded beauty is overall in great shape with silky lining and ALL fringe intact.  Gorgeous tiny micro steel beads with rich colors give off a wonderful sparkle.

FAB FIGURAL HUNTER ANTIQUE BEADED PURSE--RARE  SCENIC!

This RARE beaded beauty features an unusual HUNTING SCENE w/ DEER AND DOG!

 

BIG & BOLD with BRIGHT colors,  this vintage beaded beauty shows such an intricate design and attention to detail.  Notice the proud hunter with his loyal dog by his side, smoking a pipe admiring his fallen prey. Looks like deer antlers decorate the front of his red-roofed house. located near the mountains. Obviously a custom-made design of seed beads on canvas, I've never seen such a unusual hunting scene, especially  with such vivid colors, but is most likely German or Austrian in origin. c. 1860s-1880s

 

A nice shape and size, it's accented by an equally detailed 800 silver frame with an outdoor scene.  New soft blue lining and beautiful matching fringe were recently added to capture the striking colors. With the raised frame, this antique beaded bag measures approx. 7.25" wide x 11" long; floral chain handle adds 8 inches.  NO flaws, wear or tears.

COLORFUL CASTLE  ANTIQUE MICRO-BEADED PURSE

 

 

SCENIC ANTIQUE BEADED BAG depicts a peaceful scene of a grand CASTLE surrounded by snow-capped mountains and trees overlooking a lake. This beauty is sewn on canvas out of tiny seed (micro) beads with FAB long colorful twisted fringe in bold, bright colors.  A curved silverplate frame completes the picture.

 

This treasure is approx. 7.5" wide x 10" high; chain handle adds 8 inches.   SUPER shape inside and out with new satin lining"  NO holes, wear or tears---a few beads may be missing here and there but it's hard to see in this detailed design. Overall in EXCELLENT condition.

GOOD LUCK RACY RACEHORSE  BEADED PURSE--WINNER'S CIRCLE!  

 

RARE and UNUSUAL VINTAGE BEADED BAG features a black racehorse in the winner's circle, surrounded by GOOD LUCK SYMBOLS and a wreath of red roses.  

 

Crisp BOLD colors and a dashing Deco design make this one-of-a-kind  bag a real winner.  As you know, broken crosses had several benign meanings before they took on the evil symbolism of Nazi Germany during WWII--including "good luck." (One clue: the symbol is REVERSED)

 

This beaded beauty boasts a celluloid frame, fancy lattice fringe and original suede lining--also the beads are a bit larger which makes me think it may have been made by Native Americans during the 1920s.  Perhaps it was custom-made to honor a special lucky racehorse?

 

 Overall, this Deco treasure is in SUPER shape with NO missing beads, holes or tears, ALL fringe intact. Original suede lining is in VG condition, accented with big black beads (a couple of faint spots are hardly noticeable).

Nice and sturdy, it measures approx. 6 1/2" wide X 10" long with 4 3/4-inch wide frame.

Unusual Whiting & Davis design reminds me of a Navajo rug with its BOLD Deco colors.  Made out of beadlite links, it's topped with a silver heart frame.  Great minty condition with very minor wear, if any.  Overall this vintage  beauty is in Near- MINT condition.  Measures approx. 4" wide x 7" long. Dynamite Deco 1920s Mandalian vintage mesh purse is in SUPER shape with pretty colors and design, accented by an ENAMELED STAINED GLASS engraved frame. This stunner measures approx 4.5" wide at frame by 8" long accented w/ 9 TEAL drops!  Pretty basket clasp opens to reveal the original pale beige lining, clean and intact. Overall in SUPER shape---NO chips, fading, wear or tears; may be one or two pinpricks at very bottom tip of a drop or two, if any.  All links connected, enamel is shiny and glossy in bold Deco colors of teal, cream, gold and black flowers and swirls with the famous LUSTRO-PEARL Mandalian finish.
