MINTY MAP OF MALTA Compact Vanity Set By MELISSA

This SOUVENIR COMPACT shows the MALTESE ISLANDS and was probably purchased while on vacation in a Maltese hotel. (The comb is imprinted with the hotel's name) The compact and lipstick are made of very shiny textured goldtone metal, complete with its orignal pouch and fitted box. Overall in MINT condition with a clear beveled mirror and UNUSED puff. Made by Melissa, one of the UK's best brands.

Malta was considered part of Britain from 1800 until 1979 when British forces finally left the islands. I always think of the classic movie "The Maltese Falcon" with Humphrey Bogart! .

A nice big size, the compact measures approx 3" wide with a clear mirror. SHINY goldtone in super shape--makes a great display. The box is in EX condition with a stained spot on bottom. You've got your compact, lipstick and comb--what more do you need?

This cutie is in the famous Elgin clam or saddlebag shape and measures approx 2 3/4" x 2" wide. Overall in great shape with minor wear---NO chips, dents or scratches. Interior contains a nice clear beveled mirror with powder and rouge wells and a clean puff marked "ELGIN AMERICAN." c. 1930s-40s.

RARE 1920s DECO COMPACT features a delicate design of acorns and foliage centered in a shield-shaped STERLING compact. This delightful Deco compact is in EX-Near Mint condition--shiny silver, marked STERLING on bottom (shows minor age wear). Interior contains tiny powder puff with a clear mirror. This UNUSUAL 1920s compact sports a daring Deco dame who's ready to smash that tennis ball to bits. Black enamel figure against a grayish metal is accented with black cord handle and black tassel.

Interior contains deep rouge well (no powder well?) with used puff and clear mirror. A nice big size and shape, it measures approx 2 3/4" round; cord handle adds approx. 6" while tassel adds 2.5 inches. Overall in Near-Mint condition--no dings, scratches, very minor wear, if any.
