RARE
STRIKING
ITALIAN SCENIC ENAMEL features a RARE family scene of a
lovely lady flying a KITE while her husband and child look
on. Most of these compacts showed lovers or romantic poses so
this is an unusual outdoor scene with the woman amusing herself,
rather than playing the damsel in distress or romantic maiden. This
beauty is a BIG 3" x 3" at its widest points. NO
dings, scratches or flaws--very minor surface wear, if any.
SHINY VERMEIL goldwash is still bright inside and out; back looks
more silver, clean unused puff and CLEAR beveled mirror--overall in
EXCELLENT-NEAR-MINT condition. Marked
Made in Italy and 800 with a tiny symbol.

set are made in Toledo, Spain--both are
in minty, UNUSED condition. The
scene looks like birds flying among flowers and vines in a striking
etched gold on black design. The clip-on earrings are still on
the original card, with Spanish writing.

INDIAN motif.
Thick swirly blue celluloid has flecks of different colors to set off
the RARE FIGURAL design. This 1920s vanity bag looks and feels like end of day
Bakelite--thick and sturdy.

design appears to be an Indian maiden--or is a DECO DAME wearing her
bright beaded headband? Bakelite and celluloid collectors know that
BRIGHT BLUE is a hard to find color--at least, I've never seen another one
quite like this!
This fabulous flapper vanity bag measures a BIG 4"
across--black ribbon handle with celluloid finger ring adds 7". Interior sports nice clear mirror and clean linen pouch for mad

SOUVENIR emblem on back of PHILADELPHIA. This 1920s vintage compact features a

WOOD WAND ART COMPACT--FAIR MAIDEN WALKING A DUCK!
WAND ART is known for
its fanciful compact designs and this scenic cutie is a
perfect example. A pretty blonde farm girl or fair maiden
appears to be walking her pet duck on a leash! All
paint is intact, covered with a glossy finish to preserve the
artwork.
During WWII, many
manufacturers used alternative materials for their compacts,
including plastic and wood. Solid wood body is in great shape with minor wear,
interior is empty with clear mirror . This c. 1940s
vintage cutie measures approx 2.5" wide by
3" high. EX condition.
